Pa’al Taught Against Marriage, While Promoting Celibacy

“Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own woman, and let every woman have her own man. Let the man render unto the woman due benevolence: and likewise also the woman unto the man. The woman has not power of her own body, but the man: and likewise also the man has not power of his own body, but the woman. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his proper gift of Elohiym, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.”

  • Qorintiym Ri’shon (1 Corinthians) 7:1-9

“Are you bound unto a woman? seek not to be loosed. Are you loosed from a woman? seek not a woman. But and if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she has not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remains, that both they that have women be as though they had none; And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passes away. But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to Yahuah, how he may please Yahuah: But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his woman. There is difference also between a woman and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of Yahuah, that she may be holy both in body and in ruach: but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her man. And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon Yahuah without distraction. But if any man think that he behaves himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sins not: let them marry. Nevertheless he that stands stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so decreed in his heart את that he will guard his virgin, does well. So then he that gives her in marriage does well; but he that gives her not in marriage does better.”

Torah and Yahusha Mashiach Upheld Marriage as the Will of Yahuah

“And Elohiym said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So Elohiym created man in his own image, in the image of Elohiym created he him; male and female created he them. And Elohiym blessed them, and Elohiym said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

  • Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 1:26-28

“And Yahuah Elohiym said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. And out of the ground Yahuah Elohiym formed every beast of the field, and את every fowl of the air; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them: and whatsoever the man called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a help meet for him. And Yahuah Elohiym caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which Yahuah Elohiym had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his woman: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his woman, and were not ashamed.”

  • Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 2:18-25

“And Elohiym blessed Noach and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”

  • Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 9:1

“And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.”

  • Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 9:7

“The Parashiym also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it Lawful for a man to put away his woman for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his woman: and they two shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What את therefore Elohiym has joined together, let not man put asunder.”

  • Mattithyahu (Matthew) 19:3-6

“And the Parashiym came to him, and asked him, Is it Lawful for a man to put away his woman? tempting him. And he answered and said unto them, What did Mosheh command you? And they said, Mosheh suffered to write a cepher of divorcement, and to put her away. And Yahusha answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation Elohiym made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his woman; And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh. What את therefore Elohiym has joined together, let not man put asunder.”
